During the Advent season, Puerto del Rosario transforms into a truly special place: the Belén, the largest Nativity Scene in the Canary Islands, invites visitors to take a stroll through history, tradition, and festive atmosphere.
The Nativity Scene has been a symbol of hope and togetherness for centuries. As early as 1223, Francis of Assisi created the first living crib in Greccio – a tradition that continues to this day and touches people all over the world.
Our giant crib in Puerto del Rosario was established many years ago and has steadily evolved. Associations such as Barranco, Majo y Limpio, and numerous neighborhood groups have contributed with passion and creativity. Today, it is considered a flagship of Christmas on Fuerteventura and throughout the Canary Islands.
Spread across more than 10,000 m², a fascinating world unfolds: more than a dozen buildings in Canarian architectural style, water mills, streams, and around 45 handcrafted polyurethane figures. Each figure tells its own little story – from the Holy Family and the angels to the animals accompanying the scene.
For me, Anna M. Vogel of AMV INTERNATIONAL REALTY, it is important not only to present properties but also to highlight the special moments and places of our island. When I walk through the Puerto del Rosario Nativity Scene, I feel the warmth of the community and the joy this place radiates. This video is meant to bring you closer to the atmosphere of Puerto del Rosario during Christmas – a piece of Fuerteventura that touches both heart and soul.
